The Universe of Values
I work to the best of my ability and try to solve problems using the skills I have. I strive to learn and develop my skill-abilities.
I can use my experience to help me make decisions and choose how to do things. I can learn something from every experience.
I try to explain myself clearly. I share my ideas and opinions and listen to others.
I treat myself, others and their property with dignity. I speak and act with courtesy.
I understand that there are different forms of communication and strive to choose the best form to say what I want to say. I know that communication needs to be clear and I try to ensure that the person I am sending a message to, understands it in the way that I intended them to do so. This is particularly relevant to our bilingual school environment, where linguistic and cultural misunderstandings may occur. Communication is a process and not a one-way street.
I strive to do the right thing, even when nobody is watching. I stand up for what I believe is right and live by my ideals. I apologise if I make a mistake and ask for help when I need it.
I understand that everyone has strengths and weaknesses and how using these can help or hinder achieving a goal. I value each person’s opinion and recognise that team work can require compromise.
I tell the truth and say how I feel. I keep my promises. I say what I mean and mean what I say.
