“I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride to make it easier. Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be”
– Whitney Houston
Learning is fun. People are great.
Having fun while learning with great people, however, is about creating relationships, which, I believe, is one of the more important components of creating a strong educational culture. Sharing stories and experiences through conversation, humour, song, and body language creates trust, understanding and respect… which is a good place to start learning with good people.
When looking in on my classroom you will see students engaging in hands-on activities, classroom discussions, and group and individual work. I aim to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity and I want them to feel that no question is too silly to ask… however I strive for them to think before they speak that question.
Education is the foundation for a child’s future. As a teacher, I take pride in my profession as someone who supports and coaches the future generations.
