I don’t see myself as a traditional teacher but much more in the role of a coach.
Teachers as coaches and role models: knowledge, values, relationships.
On the one hand, this means helping students acquire new skills and knowledge and allowing them to practise what they have learned. On the other hand, I am also a role model for young people and try not only to teach them the skills and knowledge they need to pass their exams but also to teach them values such as respect and consideration by setting an active example. However, I am also part of the class group and endeavour to build a relationship with the students. This also includes maintaining an open and honest connection with everyone in the class, as far as possible for me as a teacher.
